Please meet Diva Foodies Teen Kid Chef Lauren. Chef Lauren is 13 and in the eighth grade. She is also an artist which means she brings a special touch to her baking creations.
Diva Foodies: Do you remember what was the first food you ever cooked or baked?
Kid Chef Lauren: I vaguely remember baking chocolate chip cookies (with some help from my parents of course).
Diva Foodies: How old were you when you first started cooking?
Kid Chef Lauren: My dad is the main cook in my family and occasionally I would help him make pasta starting when I was 6.
Diva Foodies: Has what you like to cook or bake changed from when you were younger?
Kid Chef Lauren: Not much has changed concerning my cooking preferences – I prefer baking cakes, cookies and muffins.
Diva Foodies: What’s your favorite kitchen tool and why?
Kid Chef Lauren: Probably the electronic mixer – it makes that process a whole lot easier 🙂
Diva Foodies: Do you have a favorite cooking show? Why do you like it?
Kid Chef Lauren: Cake Boss would be my personal favorite- I love the way they put an artistic spin on baking.
Diva Foodies: Mom Elizabeth, how/when did you realize Lauren enjoyed cooking or baking?
Mom Elizabeth: Lauren is an artist and loves using her hands and being creative – Baking is just a natural extension of her God-given talent J
