#FoodTVCHAT had two very special guests last night, Master Chef Junior Season 5 winner Jasmine Stewart and Gina Gonzalez Scallon, Casting Director Master Chef Junior.  Jasmine is as delightful and inspiring as she was on Master Chef Junior and we throughly enjoyed having her as Guest Chef on #FoodTVChat. Master Chef Junior Casting is full stream ahead in casting for Season 6 of Master Chef Junior. They will be in Chicago and Atlanta on January 13th and then on to Los Angeles on January 20th. • We asked Jasmine why she wanted to participate in the Master Chef Junior Competition.

A1: Well, for two reasons. I was already a fan of the show AND I like to cook. When my mom told me she signed me up to audition I was super excited. I thought it would be a fun experience. #FoodTVChat @MasterChefUSA

• Jasmine told Chef Gordon Ramsay that she “deserved to win”. We wondered what gave her the self confidence to give that answer!

• We asked Jasmine what she thought Chef Gordon Ramsay and Chef Christina Tosi learned from her.

I think they learned from me that I can bounce back and am not afraid of a challenge. I think they also learned that you can be kind AND a tough competitor at the same time. @GordonRamsay also learned that jerk seasoning goes quite well with lobster-tail. Ha!
