#FoodTVCHAT had two very special guests last night, Master Chef Junior Season 5 winner Jasmine Stewart and Gina Gonzalez Scallon, Casting Director Master Chef Junior.  Jasmine is as delightful and inspiring as she was on Master Chef Junior and we throughly enjoyed having her as Guest Chef on #FoodTVChat. Master Chef Junior Casting is full stream ahead in casting for Season 6 of Master Chef Junior. They will be in Chicago and Atlanta on January 13th and then on to Los Angeles on January 20th. As they say, “if you think your child has what it takes to be the next Master Chef Junior” you should click here and follow them on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. for the latest information.

Casting Director Gina Gonzalez Scallon joined us on #FoodTVChat to answer questions, offer tips about the open audition calls and to encourage aspiring Master Chef Junior contestants in Atlanta to audition tomorrow, January 13th 9AM-5Pm at the Four Season Hotel and meet Atlanta’s own Jasmine Stewart.

If you missed this #FoodTVChat, you can follow the Twitter stream here. We also have recapped the highlights below. Enjoy!

#FOODTVCHAT: With Jasmine Stewart and Gina Gonzalez Scallon

  • We asked Jasmine why she wanted to participate in the Master Chef Junior Competition.

  • People frequently say that the best food is made from love. We asked Jasmine what that meant to her.

  • Jasmine told Chef Gordon Ramsay that she “deserved to win”. We wondered what gave her the self confidence to give that answer!

  • We wondered what the kids that audition and win a spot on the show have in common with each other.

  • Jasmine uses an interesting hashtag on social media, #letyourinnergirlslay. We asked her to explain what it meant.

This was such a fun #FoodTVChat! Thank you to all who participated in the chat.

A special thank you to Jasmine for being such an awesome Guest Chef. We wish you all the best and know with your talents,  positive outlook and determination that you will have great success in whatever you set your mind that you want to do!

Thanks to Master Chef Junior Casting Director Gina Gonzalez Scallon for being such a great #FoodTVChat guest and many thanks to the entire Master Chef Junior Team–we throughly enjoyed working with you!
